## Why Silicon Valley Should Be Concerned
Silicon Valley’s reliance on high-cost API consumption models creates a massive strategic blind spot. By locking in foundational infrastructure early, China isn't just selling software; they are defining the security architectures, protocols, and data standards for millions of emerging developers.
If US tech giants continue to treat developing markets as secondary API consumers rather than core deployment zones, they risk losing critical data flywheels and network effects across the fastest-growing digital population.
